New Message from Honor Society! HS Crew Exclusive.

Posted: 14 Sep 2009 | Melody

Dear HS CREW:

Wsup! Its your gentlemen here. Let's start with the headline: THIS SUMMER WAS AMAZING!!! duh.

OK now that we got that off our chests lets get more detailed. To be honest when we were asked to open the Jonas World Tour we didn't know what to expect because we had never been on a tour of that size before but we were completely honored and knew it was the most amazing opportunity. Nick, Joe and Kevin just kept telling us 'its a lot of work, but its A LOT of fun'. They were 100% right. With the Jonas World Tour and our Full Moon Crazy Tour, not to mention tons of other appearances we made, we did over 100 performances this summer alone....and we had the TIME OF OUR LIVES doing it!!! So we worked hard and had fun!

The tour lifestyle was totally brand new to us as well. Living on the tour bus was a learning experience, sleeping in bunks, brushing your teeth with bottled water, walking on a moving bus haha all the stuff you normally never think about was now a brand new experience!

But honestly this summer was the best summer of our lives as a band because we got to do what we love with each other and with all of YOU.

Every city on the tour had its own charm and the fans in every city were so passionate and amazing that most nights we didn't want to leave to go to the next city. Which is probably why we set up our after show greet and meets to hang with as many of you as possible.

As the autumn approaches we want to remind you that we do all of this for you and the release of "Fashionably Late" is no different. We made this album for you and we know you're gonna love it!

We also want to hear from you and what you want to see out of the HS CREW (fan club). This club is for you and we want you to be pumped about it.

See you on the FASHIONABLY LATE TOUR this autumn!

Holla at your boys, no duh.
Michael, Alexander, Jason and Andrew

Posted: 14 Sep 2009 | Melody

Honor Society has a new single out...let your local stations know that you love Honor Society's new single "Over You" and want to hear more of it!

This week is particularly important, because it's Honor Society's Album Release Week! Honor Society appreciates their fans so very much, and requesting their songs on the radio is a great way of letting them know that you appreciate them too!

Please keep in mind these tips when requesting Honor Society on the radio:

-- First things first: if you request Honor Society's new single on your local radio station, it should be because you personally would like to request the song. No duh!

-- Call your LOCAL radio stations once a day to request Honor Society's new single. If you hear the song on the radio, it's cool to send one e-mail to the DJ thanking them for playing the song.

-- Some radio station websites have an e-mail address or online form specifically for requests, and that's where you should send your e-mail. Again, it's best to only send one e-mail per day.

Here are some stations that are currently playing Honor Society. If they're near you, make sure to call in and support "Over You"!:

artists in the wings - honor society

Posted: 12 Sep 2009 | jessicagrella

The publicity for Honor Society describes them as "where the great arena-rock acts of the eighties meet modern pop and hip-hop shows." That sounds catchy and confident. I spoke earlier today with Andrew Lee who does bass, keyboards and backing vocals in the band and asked him just what he wanted fans to take away from an Honor Society show. Andrew replied, "We're hoping they're thinking or feeling that they've been just been to the hottest party they've ever been to." He assures me it's not a joke that, as the promo lines say, Honor Society doesn't play shows, they throw parties. In describing the music, Andrew says, "It's just high energy, funky, danceable stuff."

The band was spending the day in New York City taking care of publicity business and checking out the set up for Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards. I asked if Andrew could give me a clue about where the Honor Society name came from.
He says, "It's so hard to find a good band name....We wanted it to be an inclusive name...We like to tell our fans you're in Honor Society with us, we're all in this together." The group sees the fan connection as a very important part of their success.

One of the most fortunate twists of fate for Honor Society is their connection with the Jonas Brothers. The band are the first signing to the new Jonas record label, and the band's album Fashionably Late, in stores next week, is the first album with the new imprint. I wanted to know how such a fortunate link came about. Andrew spoke about how connections helped them out. "Early last spring we recorded an EP and a few demos and those demos made their way into the hands of the Jonas Brothers. Alex, our drummer, actually went to high school with Kevin Jonas." He talked about how the two bands got to be friends before they had to move into any of the sticky issues about business. "That summer they gave us a call and invited us to a couple of their shows, and we got a chance to strike up a friendship with them."

Honor Society's debut full-length album Fashionably Late is in stores next Tuesday, September 15, 2009. The band will be touring all fall in support of the album. Andrew says, "We really want people to come out to the shows and just experience Honor Society." Check out the song "Where Are You Now?" below. Andrew is confident that Honor Society's music would appeal to a wide audience saying, "We would hope if you are a fan of music, you will be a fan of Honor Society."

ace show biz interview

Posted: 12 Sep 2009 | jessicagrella

Honor Society describe 'Fashionably Late' as a funky, cool pop music album with a rock band vibe and they call the experience of touring with Jonas Brothers as dream comes true.

Honor Society exclusively tell AceShowbiz about what they have to offer in their upcoming debut studio album "Fashionably Late". Also, this band share what it was like to hit the road with Jonas Brothers and what part they have in "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel" film.

The band, who want to work with Jordin Sparks for a future collaboration, are set to release their first studio project in United States on September 15. In a bid to promote the effort, they will travel across the country for a roadshow, starting from September 13 to December 31.

ASB: How did you guys band together?

Honor Society: Initially, Michael Bruno and Jason Rosen were friends who had wanted to start a band. We all met through a series of mutual friends. It really was like all the pieces fell into place once we all met. We knew right away that this was who the band was going to be.

ASB: You chose to name your band Honor Society. Any special meaning to this?

Honor Society: The name was chosen because we think it best describes the brotherhood of our band both as friends and musicians. It's also a cool way for us to include our friends and fans. We want people to think that they can also be part of Honor Society.

ASB: How did you land a deal with Jonas Group?

Honor Society: One of our EPs that we released a little over a year ago [A Tale of Risky Business (EP)] found its way to them. They really liked what they heard so they came out to check a few live shows. We all hung out a few times and there was this instant creative connection.

ASB: About your new album "Fashionably Late", what were the challenges in getting it done?

Honor Society: There weren't really all that many hurdles actually. It was a pretty easy process thanks to both the Jonas Brothers and our producer, John Fields. It was incredible to have the Jonas Brothers come in a co-write and -produce a few songs too. If anything, first albums are always hard in that you have this lifetime of material, of music that you have to whittle down to about 12 songs. Cutting some of the songs that you have been performing for so long was a little bit of a challenge.

ASB: Since this would be your debut album, what kind of idea do you want to deliver to your fans about the band?

Honor Society: From the beginning when we started the band, we all had a very clear idea of what we wanted Honor Society to be and sound like. We kept that at the front of our minds as we recorded the album. The album is something that we are proud of and it definitely represents us. It's a funky, uptempo rock album and we hope people like the vibe.

Dreams Do Come True!

Posted: 11 Sep 2009 | Melody

Date: Sep 11, 2009 9:18 PM
Subject: 10 THINGS.......
Body: Our debut album comes out in less than 4 days...4 DAYS...and it really means so much to us, we thought we'd share. This is what FASHIONABLY LATE means to us:

1. We've always dreamed of our debut album...this is the debut album we've always dreamed of making.

2. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without you...our fans...and for that, we are forever grateful.

3. We made a complete album, we don't think there's any tracks you'll skip!

4. To think that our music can reach and affect people is truly humbling.
We can only hope that people enjoy what we do as much as we do.

5. You inspire us.

6. Our families and friends are incredible.

7. The Fashionably Late Tour is just around the corner...

8. All those cheesy motivational posters are right: hard work does pay off, luck is when preparation meets opportunity, etc...they're all true.

9. Live your life to this record, let it be your soundtrack...and don't worry we're already writing songs for the next one ;)

10. Dreams do come true...see #1

love,
HS
